Cool, Punter! Any more scoop pics of the interiors and rear?

BTW as per the front bumper, its still the same old generation. I was in the impression, we would get the Punto Evo TJet!

Congrats Punter... Have seen your car in person @ Pune.
You discussed about further changes and was wondering is there anything more to be done with this beauty ?
Awesome results. The figure hugging covers are great too.

Re: My FIAT Grande Punto 90HP (Abarth)

Now I need to work on interiors of my Punto. But it not planned for next 6 months due to lack of vitamin M.

    1) Linea's Armrest
    2) Leather Seat Covers
    3) Leather on door trims, hand brake & on dashboard.
    4) Carbon fiber on plastic near frond winshield.

You know what, Punter. I was gonna say it initially that it looks like your car but i thought may be you might have indeed got a hands on a Test car!

Punter your list on the pending upgrades for your drive sure requires a heavy dose of vitamin M...all the best.
A Tjet would do justice to your requirements.Second Ganesh's opinion.

Hey Punter - My comments below:
    1) Do you really need the armrest? I barely use it on my TJet and it is more of an irritant to me than a utility.
    2) I second the leather seat covers upgrade as well as leather door trims. Check out Ovion leather offerings at Carax before you put your money on something pricey like Stanley.
    3) Again, not sure if leather on the dashboard is a good idea. That part receives the maximum sunlight as compared to the rest of the cabin and you will need high maintainence of the leather on that stretch over time
    4) Just verify if by tampering with the windshield you will not violate any RTO rules. You don't want the cops flagging your Abarth down the road

All the best with these upgrades!!
My lug nuts require more torque than your Honda makes

In long drives, yes it is useful IMO. If you dont use it sell it to me at 50% discount.

I wont be spending a lot on Stanley. I have a friend Sumit (owner of Car Cupid) and he has factory of leather customization work.

Not a full leather dashboard but some part of dashboard.

In Punto there is a plastic cladding at end of bonnet, I will paste CF vinyl on that part.

All the best with these upgrades!!
My comments in bold. All these mods will take few months as I am not condition to spend money on car.

Re: My FIAT Grande Punto 90HP (Abarth)

This thread is rocking!! Thanks Punter for getting this going. Awesome thread.

I love the look of the car.

Personally, I am very much a saloon car guy. SUVs (rather Jeeps) are for off-roading and I have set in motion the project to build my own. I love my hatchback (1.6 Palio) very dearly but, in spite of all that, deep down I am really a saloon car guy. I therefore loved the T-Jet+ and after Goa when I put Sid's T-Jet through it's paces (very nonchalantly ignoring Sid's very concerned look who looked like a doting father sending his daughter off for the first time) - I will swear by the T-Jet. Perfect balance, in handling, between power and handling, between handling and comfort etc.

The arm-rest: I use it very rarely and in cars like the Verna etc., (when I drive them) it is folded away and kept out of the way. My problem with the armrests is that they have a tendency to get in the way - of gear shifts and vigourous action at the steering wheel. I just hate the way they dig into my left elbow when I am flailing my left arm and trying to shift gear + do rapid turns all at the same time.

I have got Ovion leather interiors done and they are lovely. If you have a friend, get the best possible pure, natural leather into your cabin esp your seats, you will love yourself for that esp. when summer comes rolling around.

Wishing you lots of Vitamin M to go full steam ahead on the upgrades on your car.

    Cheers,
I do not honk. I downshift instead.
