    Great initiative. Loving it.

Not sure if it is a problem or by design, but while registering, the form didnot take more than 8 characters for user name. Will play around more and get back with feedback

Just to pick your brains further, do you think this limit is counterproductive? Will look into the backend and edit the limits.

Tried the mobile theme and I feel it could be more lighter. Can we have only text for the mobile style? Now, the top picture take a lot of space and is affecting the layout.

Sure thing Bejoy. The mobile version of the forum is something that we haven't worked upon much given the paucity of time. The first thing on the agenda is to make the header lighter.

re: Using MFW forum on Mobiles-Smartphones

    Hi All,

FYI: The site is enabled with Forum Runner, with forum runner the site should be much faster on mobiles.

    Learn about Forum Runner

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...umrunner&hl=en

    What Is Forum Runner?

Forum Runner is an Android/iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad App that allows you to browse this forum using a native client. This means faster access for those users since it only downloads the actual forum information rather than all the extraneous images that slow down the mobile connection.

    Features:

Browse your favorite forums in an easy-to-use-interface with multiple notification types (private message, subscription, etc)
Fully customizable home screen with your favorite forums
PUSH NOTIFICATION SUPPORT : Get private message and subscribed thread updates from your favorite forums in the background!
Poll updates (private messages/subscriptions) from favorites on home screen - shows you a summary of which forums you have new messages or subscriptions on!
Image attachment thumbnail and full size viewing from threads
View a thread's image attachments in one convenient screen (much like the native iPhone "Photo" app)
Save thread images to your iPhone/iPod touch library
    Fully search-able forums!
View embedded links without leaving the app, including YouTube videos
    Supports portrait AND landscape mode
Full posting options (quote posts, start new thread, etc)
Attach unlimited photos from your library (or take a photo from the camera and attach it)
Full support for private messages and private message folders
Full support for thread subscriptions - track your favorite threads and be updated via push when they have new posts!

Feedback on your forum runner experience is appreciated

    cheers,
so, why it caught my attention was, in most places i prefer to set my user id as prashu_m2000, am having that successfuly in many forums, but was surprised it was not taking more than 9 characters. We might need more characters allowed when the group grows big.

    Thanks
    Prashant

    Hi Prashant,

Admin says you are correct. The max user name length was at the default 10. Admin also tells me that it has now been increased to 16.

Please try to change your username. If you cannot let us know and we will have admin change it for you.

    Cheers,
I do not honk. I downshift instead.
