Getting Leh'd

It's the people you meet that make the adventure what it is....

It took some years for me to write this up..!

Words cannot express the experiences that I went through.. I have tried to be keep the essence of the trip, with limited details ;-)

A land of freezing winds and burning hot sunlight, Ladakh is a cold desert lying in the rain shadow of the Great Himalayas and other smaller ranges. Little rain and snow reaches this dry area, where natural forces have created a fantastic landscape, the Mighty Himalayas (the land of Malana cream) has always attracted me, ever since I visited Rishikesh, Badrinath etc back in 2005.
There was a deep desire to visit the mystical land of Leh and that too in my motorcycle, the Legendary Enfield Bullet.

Across the Kashmir Valley and over the famous Zoji La pass lies Ladakh - the Land of High Passes.
The biker community calls Leh as Mecca of bikers, the trip up to Leh as "Getting Leh'd."

Fantastic write-up, DKM

I've always envied riders who make it to Leh, sure thats a breath taking experience throughout until you reach at top. The whole journey requires tremendous amount of strength by physical and mentally too plus to keep motivating yourself to push yourself to reach the destination

Nicely narrated the whole journey. It was the same year when MFW team members from Mumbai and Pune when to LEH.
Even I want to do it in bike, maybe very soon.
