My Tjet's first Konkan Drive [Almost cashless ]

    Ciao Fiatians!!

    To my first travelogue!

Please Note: Neither I am good at narration nor I am pro photographer, but trust me friends, Konkan is more beautiful than my this try to express it through narration/photos.

This place which we [I and my office buddies] visited is Diveagar in Konkan, 4 h 23 min (159 km) away from Pune via Tamhini Ghat. Since, tamhini ghat road is not in good condition, we decided to cruise via Mumbai-Pune Expressway, by taking Khopoli Exit.

The master plan we plotted in the office pantry in the coffee break, just two days before our actual journey. We were all from different project, so we all managed to get sick leaves. We hardly had any cash in hand for this journey. After calling many resorts/homestay, we finally got our booking done at "Aanand yatri home stay". Our package was inclusive of food and stay, we made online payment, fuel we filled by swapping the card. Water sports owner at beach surprisingly accepted our payment online. So, it was just for tea we paid in cash, rest of the journey we went cashless!! NaMo

So, our journey started from Pune[Hinjawadi IT park office] ---> Raanjai hotel [Awesome Mutton-Bhakari lunch at Wakad bridge, Pune. No pics, damn hungry we were ] ------> Then via Mumbai-Pune Expressway, we took Khopoli exit ------> then we followed this path to reach Dive-agar : https://www.google.co.in/maps/dir/Pu...919703!3e0!5i1

Luckily, it was low traffic since it was Thursday. Tjet were calmly cruising at 120-140 kmph, after some excitement, I calmly drove it at 80-100 kmph on Expressway. It was my first tjet drive on Expressway, I had Tata Manza in my past which I sold out, the tjet steering was very steady even at 140 Kmph, which I could not think of in Manza. Now, more about our tour through pics :

The first break on the state-highway..

We started at around 5pm and reached destination, Diveagar at 9:30 pm. We checked-in at Aanand-yatri, it was local home stay. We booked one big room for 5 of us, room was clean with AC and TV.

our room on the first floor

Next day, I got up early in the morning while rest of the guys were sleeping/snoring. I wanted to have a good morning walk. Though room was 10 min walk from beach, I could hear the roaring sound of sea shores right from our room's balcony, it was that quite. That was bliss for ears.. Peace of mind! After my solo self-talk walk, it was time for tjet bath.

The awesome view from our balcony.

We decided to hit the beach, lazy bones were not ready to walk, they were so addicted to T-jet.. we drove T-jet to the beach.

This is me. I am not photogenic, but couldn't resist to click it with my T-jet.

Time for water-sports, we got great deal with the reference of our home-stay guy. The beach was not crowded as it was weekday, so we enjoyed our rides. There was no hurry from water sports organizer boys.

After spending couple of hours on the beach, hungry tummies returned to the room. We all were totally wet, thanks to those plastic wrappers which I found luckily in my boot, 3M guys used it for wrapping wet seats, while delivering my car after internal cleaning. We wrapped seats with the same and sat on them to keep T-jet clean. Friends were equally caring.

While others were taking shower to get ready for lunch, I and Navnath were relaxing on the hammock.

No better place for relaxing in the arms of mother nature. Love Thy Nature.

Since, this hammock was in front of the Kitchen area, the aroma of fish getting fried was driving us crazy. We realized our sense of "hunger" which we generally don't sense it in the busy city-life while following regular/irregular eating times.

Amazing Konkani foods we enjoyed during our stay at Aanand Yatri :

Sweet note from Aanand yatri, I would say this is not just from one home stay, fortunately almost all local people practicing it.

This place is really cool. Very good Hospitality. Owner told us, they could occupy 70-80 people, its that big inside. This happy home really made us Happy traveler! Here is the link to it : http://anandyatri.in/

After lunch, instead of taking nap all decided to head towards, Shrivardhan beach, since we had just one day stay to enjoy as much as we can.

Meanwhile, I added Water-sports guy as payee to make his payment online. This was major chunk where we saved our cash in hand during journey, peace!

There are two routes to Shrivardhan from Diveagar. We decided to follow below highlighted coastal road to Shrivardhan. This road is not as good as the other main road, but it was still manageable to enjoy coastal drive.

A refreshing travelogue Rohan! Really enjoyed reading your drive experience to the Konkan. These pictures just make you want to leave your office desk and drive to a nice relaxing beach. Its also good to know that your friends were equally caring of the T-Jet. A lot many times, we car enthusiasts cringe when our friends don't treat the car well and we wonder why we offered to bring your car for the trip. So the T-Jet is going to make you even more popular with your friends..Cheers to that

Looking forward to more such awesome travelogues and drive experiences from you!
