    Trip To Sinhagadh

    Date : 15-02-2014
    Time : 11AM

I was long time since we never went out together, thanks to busy schedules and adhoc meetings.
Woke up saturday morning, nothing much was planned for the day hence decided to go out. But was not sure where to go.

I said lets get started we will hit the destination automatically.
Initially, the plan was to visit the temple, since the weather was good decided to go to Khadakwasla and comeback.

re: Trips with my lovebirds - Sinhagad

    Great thread Channa

Looking forward to more awesome stories of your trips with the two beauties. Don't know if you have mentioned this elsewhere, from which year does this T-Jet belong? 2012? It looks as beautifully maintained as the Palio 1.6 Sport!

Also, what's your impression on the more entertaining drive between the two cars? I personally prefer the steering feedback and engine of the Palio over the T-Jet. However, the T-Jet is a lot more comfortable over long journeys and has impeccable high speed poise, braking and handling capabilities. Overall, where the Palio 1.6 is a pocket rocket and is more fun, the Linea T-Jet I feel is a fast and more comfortable long distance cruiser which can beat quite a few expensive cars while at it.

Apart from our friendly neighborhood Marshals - Sid and mnemonic, you are the only member to own both the Palio 1.6 and the Linea T-Jet. Let's hear you perspective on the two cars.

Great job again with this thread

re: Trips with my lovebirds - Sinhagad

    Thanks Roms,

Yeah, I am not getting time to compile the story about linea. Will do it soon.
In short it is 2011 make, bought by parsi uncle in 2012, I acquired in 2013 :-). It has taken some abuse these years I need to patch it up.
Done about 5K kms in 4 months. Being incorporated with many safety features, all 4 disk brakes, wider tyres, light yet precise HPS, comfortable leather seats, turbo under the hood T-Jet is in different league all together.
While I love the ride, handling, comfort of T-Jet on the long drives, I love Palio for its quick acceleration, muscular, roar of 1.6 100BHP, lively HPS and the grippy steering wheel.

Palio is more drivable in city and ghat section, love the power on tap. Turbo lag in T-Jet is felt during sinhagad visit. I had to climb at 2nd gear which I would have done in 3rd gear effortlessly in palio.
I also like the rear seats of palio more comfortable than T-Jet. Somehow I feel the rear seats are mounted high and flat which makes long journeys little uncomfortable for rear passengers.

Enough, I'll spare some for ownership report :-)

Lovely thread Channa. Beautiful photograps, you seem rather good behind the lens.

Just a small suggestion - create separate threads for each trip. That will make it easier to read, search etc.

    Cheers,
I do not honk. I downshift instead.

re: Trips with my lovebirds - Sinhagad

    Thanks Ravvee,

I am not good at writing, hence don't want to create separate threads where I don't write much but only post pics :-)
    Hence created single thread.

I agree with search, in that case mods please rename this thread as "Trips with my lovebirds - Sinhagad"

    21st July 2014 - Visit to Lavasa

"No one in this world is rich enough to buy
his own childhood and youth back.
Only friends help to re create those moments from time to time"

Just read the above quote a week back and got an opportunity to create those priceless moments once again when my childhood friends visited Pune with family.
When and how those 3-4Days passed in the blink of an eye god only knows.
Took them to many places arround including Alibaug, Mahabaleshwar, Lavasa.

Lavasa : we went alone leaving family at home just to recreate those moments again.
    Those 4-5hrs are just amazing.

We left arround 6am in the morning and back by 11am.

    Here are some captures!!

You make the Linea look even better Channa

I hope you click some pics of my Dark Knight when we meet during the Mumbai-Pune meet.

Loved the 2 images with the Linea splashing water as she cuts through the road

    Amazing pictures mchanna

Have visited Lavasa a long time back and you have captured the essence of the place at the right time - during the monsoon. The pictures of the Linea splashing through water are really good. Keep sharing these gems!

    Thanks Roms!

All credits goes to my friends. Otherwise even I wouldn't have experienced this breathtaking monsoon morning!
Definitely there will be another planned trip to Lavasa in this season!
